This amplifier was what I would call my first successful tube amp build. It went through several iterations over many years and this is what I finally ended up with. I tried many modifications and different components just to learn how they work and how they affect the sound of the amp.
The amp is based on the popular JE Labs 300B SE schematic, but my version was somewhat different. I say was, as this amp found a new home some years ago and I have no idea what has happened to it since. My version had a solid state rectifier, 6 motor run capacitors and DHT heater supplies designed by Rod Coleman. I used Lundahl output transformers, 6SN7 preamp tubes and of course the famous 300B tubes for the output.
