While I was a student in watchmaking school, I was invited to take part in a student watch show in the world's #1 watch fair Baselworld. The exhibition was held by the prestigious AHCI (Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants). The academy had invited a handful of student watches from around the world to be displayed in their booth at the 2014 Baselworld fair. I was one of those fortunate few. Fortunately I was studying in Switzerland at the time, so I got to meet some of the biggest names in independent horology today.
My watch was composed of a heavily modified ETA 6497-1 movement, stainless steel case, bronze dial and polished steel hands. I made all the parts at school using manual machines and traditional hand tools.
